Ronny Quevedo works across printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installation, using schematics—dressmakers’ patterns, architectural plans, and maps—to explore identity shaped by a fractured past. His work juxtaposes zoot suits with Quechua culture and Mesoamerican ballcourts with soccer stadiums, mapping relationships between histories and visual forms. At the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Quevedo debuts newly commissioned large-scale works, including a floor installation made from reclaimed professional basketball court wood, reconfigured, and overlaid with a new diagram. Part of a series examining historic and contemporary playing fields, the work reflects on collective spaces, labor, movement, and migration.
